James wishes he was human- away from the only life he's known that's been only what you could call a travelling 'supernatural freak show'. A normal life with a normal family that can't manipulate time and space and call upon shadow creatures and giant man-eating leeches as friendly pets. He can't even say he fits in too well with the people around him, even though they're just as much freaks as he is regardless of the fact they are considered human. Things start looking up when he finally gets the courage to ask out his long time crush- until their ringleader is nearly murdered and severs the centuries long contract within her bloodline with James' parents, Maude and Thaddeus Lynch. With their true nature revealed and the community in ruins, James' must quickly find out who this mysterious, powerful murderer is and what their true intentions are- it's a lot more personal than he could ever imagine.
